Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Orvaro ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects your personal information when you visit www.orvaro.co.uk, place an order, register a product, contact us, subscribe to our email communications or otherwise interact with our website and services.

Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that enables us to sell our products and process your orders.

Who We Are

For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Orvaro is the data controller of the personal information collected through this website.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we process your personal information, please contact us at privacy@orvaro.co.uk.

Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact information, including your name, email address, billing address, delivery address and telephone number.
  • Order information, including products purchased, order history, returns and customer support enquiries.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers. Orvaro does not store your full payment card details.
  • Account information, if you create an account with us.
  • Device and technical information, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers and website usage.
  • Marketing preferences and email subscription choices.
  • Product registration and warranty information, including your name, email address, product type, product colour, order number (if provided), purchase source and purchase date (if provided).
  • Communications you send to us.

How We Collect Your Information

We collect information:

  • Directly from you.
  • Automatically through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
  • From trusted service providers who help us process payments, fulfil orders, deliver products, analyse website performance and provide marketing or customer support services.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and fulfil orders.
  • Arrange delivery and provide order updates.
  • Process returns and refunds.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
  • Register your product, administer warranty support, maintain a record of the registration and send your registration confirmation.
  • Improve our website, products and customer experience.
  • Send marketing communications where you have provided consent.
  • Detect fraud and protect our business.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

Legal Basis for Processing

Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases:

  • Contract, where processing is necessary to provide products or services you have requested, including administering a product registration or warranty service.
  • Consent, for optional marketing communications and non-essential cookies or tracking technologies.
  • Legitimate interests, where necessary to operate, improve and protect our business, provided those interests do not override your rights.
  • Legal obligation, where processing is required to comply with applicable law.

How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with trusted third parties where necessary, including:

  • Shopify.
  • Payment providers.
  • Amazon Fulfilment (FBA) and Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF), where used.
  • Courier and logistics providers.
  • Klaviyo, where used to maintain product-registration records, send registration confirmations and, where you consent, provide email marketing.
  • Cloudflare, which securely processes and transmits product-registration form submissions to Klaviyo on our behalf.
  • Meta, TikTok and Google, for analytics and advertising technologies where permitted by your consent choices.
  • Professional advisers, regulators and law-enforcement authorities where required.

We do not sell your personal information.

Shopify

Shopify processes personal information to provide hosting, checkout, payments, fraud prevention, security, analytics and other ecommerce functionality. Shopify also provides customer privacy tools that help us manage cookie and tracking consent.

Fulfilment and Delivery Partners

Where applicable, we share the information necessary to fulfil your order with Amazon FBA, Amazon MCF and delivery partners. Orders placed through www.orvaro.co.uk remain purchases from Orvaro, and Orvaro remains your point of contact for customer support.

Product Registration and Warranty

When you submit our product-registration form, we use the information you provide to register your product, maintain a registration and warranty-support record, provide product-care or support information and send an administrative confirmation email.

Your submission is securely transmitted through Cloudflare Workers to Klaviyo. Cloudflare processes the submission on our behalf while it is transmitted; our Worker does not create a separate product-registration database. Klaviyo stores the registration event and the latest registration details against your customer profile so that we can administer the registration and provide support.

Submitting the product-registration form does not by itself subscribe you to marketing. Marketing consent is optional and is only recorded if you actively tick the marketing checkbox. We keep a record of your choice, the date and time of the registration and the version of the consent wording displayed at the time.

The product-registration confirmation is an administrative message relating to the service you requested. You may therefore receive it whether or not you have agreed to receive marketing emails.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising Technologies

We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to operate our website, remember preferences, understand how visitors use our website, improve performance and measure advertising effectiveness.

These technologies may include:

  • Google Analytics.
  • Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API.
  • TikTok Pixel and TikTok Events API.

Subject to your consent where required, these technologies may collect information including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, products viewed, purchases and interactions with our website. Certain identifiers may be securely shared in hashed form to improve measurement and advertising performance.

You can manage your preferences through our cookie banner and your browser settings.

Email Marketing

If you actively subscribe to our mailing list, including by ticking the optional marketing checkbox on our product-registration form, we may send information about Orvaro, product-care tips, new products, promotions, inspiration and company updates. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting privacy@orvaro.co.uk.

Choosing not to receive marketing does not affect your product registration or warranty support. We may still send service-related communications concerning orders, deliveries, returns, product registrations, warranties or customer support.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including fulfilling orders, administering product registrations and warranty support, maintaining appropriate consent records, providing support, resolving disputes and complying with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

International Transfers

Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Request a portable copy of your information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To exercise your rights, contact privacy@orvaro.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, security or content.

Complaints

If you have concerns about how we process your information, please contact us first at privacy@orvaro.co.uk. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
